I said Brrr...It's Cold in Here

Since my school has a huge outdoor campus and I was trudging absolutely all of my belongings through New York City's streets within my school, I was freezing to death. I forgot that along with Christmas comes cold!! Here are some winter treats that will keep you warm in style:

I adore Betsey Johnson! Surely her gorgeous bright colors will cheer you up in even the dullest winter days!

Short sleeve cardigan:

And since it's only short-sleeved add an adorable Marc Jacobs oversized sweater to match!

Jeans are getting, gasp, must I say a little too chilly for winter! Although I will never give up my jeans, cute cigarette Vince cords are a good compromise (sometimes beauty shouldn't have to be painful):

I've always wanted a pair of Frye Boots, they're so well made and incredibly durable -- a lot of my friends wear them everday to school and they look even better with every wear! However, at a pricetag of $400, it looks like I'll have to ask my Mom for a pair... But can't a girl dream?

And finally, who could forget a jacket? I'm pretty sick of puff-coats (even though Gwenyth Paltrow can pull of a humongous black North Face with a tight cashmere dress and uggs - look for the issue of People's Style Watch), so why not try a cute coat? This bright blue hue is absolutely stunning:

And don't worry, I haven't forgotten the lucky girls who live in warm climates! Here are some of my favorite runway looks from this spring.

Chloe, my all-time favorite designer. I love how every one of her collections are fresh but still simple, classic, and elegant (with lots of different shapes and colors), here are two of my favorite spring looks:

and

Finally, I just adore Michael Kors' latest collection - as a dancer I loveee clothes that reflect ballerina styles! Cute, cute, cute!

Have a fabulous, fashionable weekend!

Stay Chic (and warm!!!),

America's Next Top Model!

I swear that I am ANTM's biggest fan. I watch every week (even skipping a little homework to do so...). Anyway, tonight's the finale!!! The final three contestants are Eugena, Melrose, and Caridee. Personally, I adore Carriedee and would LOVE to see her win! I think she looks so swedish/european, is hilarious, and has amazing cheekbones.

Here's Carrie-Dee:

And Eugena who's also gorgeous:

And finally, Melrose:

However, I still love my favorite winner of ANTM: Yoanna House (who also hosts another one of my favorite TV shows, The Look for Less). Yoanna's cheekbones are crazzzzy and I just love her whole look, very high-fashion:

So, a toast to models! They may seem unimportant, and sometimes we may secretly despise them, but they're the ones who get us to buy the clothes (well, the really exceptional clothes can stand out on their own). But c'mon, it's nice to see a gorgeous person wearing something that you in turn could own!

Let's cross our fingers for Carrie-Dee!,

Stay Chic!,

Sweaters Galore!

Gorgeous sweaters!

Here's a cashmere Marc Jacobs sweater. Beautiful!

We also saw this gorgeous sweater at Bergdorf's! It's made by the amazing brand called Ya-Ya. I'm such a huge fan of Ya-Ya because they combine classic elegance with fun styles! :

And here's some chic, more-affordable cardigans we found on the internet!:

I love Nordstrom's and this $36 sweater proves why I like them soo much - cheap and cute!!

(Chic in the City <3's friend):
I am obsessed with Free People! I just can't get enough of their funky, colorful, cute designs! I love how everything looks a little hippi-ish with an urban sort of feeling. Here's a must-have sweater:

Now, don't get me wrong this definitely isn't a granny sweater! I just love cashmere and the deep turquoise of this sweater - I couldn't resist! :

And a cute marc jacobs cardigan to end the post with! Since it's like a wrap, it would be soo cute to wear on a cold day as a sort of "portable blanket!"

So, from NYC, Chic in the City <3 and her Chic Friend are...
OUT!

Stay Chic!

TopShop to the Rescue!

My family always goes to London twice a year (when I'm lucky, more!) - and each visit I constantly nag my mom to drag me to all different TopShops - they're my obession. They have everything (swimwear, shoes, bags, belts, lingerie, jackets) - and in original, adorable cuts and patterns! TopShop even has a vintage section, which although is expensive, is completely worth it. There have been rumors of a TopShop opening in New York City (I was excited at first, then mad because I won't have original clothes from TopShop anymore). However, it still hasn't opened! As we're all waiting for TopShop's grand opening to the USA, here are some gorgeous things to ease the process:

How adorable is this jacket? I love the sportiness to it. Super cute!

I also adore this jacket. I love the bright, spontaneous color and the huge mod buttons. Well done, TopShop!

This wrap dress is just a tad reminiscent to one of my favorites - cheetah print! It's also in a soft, jersey fabric which is a huge PLUS!

Here's another fabulous dress. I adore scoop necks, and this one isn't too low or high. Also, doesn't the fabric look to-die for?

This belt would look super-cute belted at the waist of the dress above! :

This boxy cardigan in a bright yellow is such a cute addition to any wardrobe. It would look absolutely fabulous with a little white tee and jeans, or dressed up with a pencil skirt. I love, love, love it! :

And if you want to dress it up, here's a beautiful wool pencil skirt (i've been looking for one!), and perfect metallic ballet flats!:

And just some fun stuff that I really couldn't resist:

This hand-bag is SOO cute. I actually think I'm going to spend a lifetime of allowance on it (everything in pounds is double in US dollars!) :

And finally, let me know what you think of these boots. think they're cute... But I Don't love the roucheing...

Have an amazing Sunday (tear, tear mine's filled with homework)...
I think I'm going to sneak out shopping with a friend!
Wish me luck...

Vacation - Got to Get Away

Pretty soon it's Christmas Time, and everyone's going away...including me. This year we're going to Spain (in the country side/in Barcelona) and I'm really excited because it's my first time! As I've been investigating what to wear, I've been thinking about all the other vacations my friends are going to: Aspen, London, and Bermuda. So this post I've decided to make an outfit for each place! Enjoy and wherever you go (even if that means just to your grandparent's house), stay chic and stylish!

To stay warm and cozy by the fire in Aspen wear:
an adorable pair of Earnest Sewn jeans:

which would like utterly fabulous tucked into a pair of uggs:

and a soft, silky cashmere sweater to match?

who wouldn't want a marc jacobs coat and a fabulous gold chain to top the whole outfit off?

And for a hot, relaxing stay at a resort in Bermuda why not wear:

a cute cover-up!: And, why not go bare foot? It's bermuda after all! If you're a stickler for shoes, basic navy or white Havianas will do the trick!

and a sexy, effortless Marc Jacobs bikini. (what's that, do i hear ADORABLE?)

For an amazing stay in Spain wear:

Be absolutely funky in grey skinny jeans and a to-die-for top:

Since Spain isn't too cold in the winter time, just add a little boxy jacket and you're good to go:

But don't forget satin navy blue ballet flats!:

And for a night at the theater in London:

an amazing outfit (put together by shopbop!) that i saw when I was browsing (TOO CUTE!):

and to throw it all together in a glam-evening look add an adorable princess coat!:

Have fun wherever you're destination may be (gawd, i sound like an American Airlines flight attendant...)

It's Party Time!

Since it's winter time and there have been so many parties (fancy and casual), I decided to do a post on outfits - because for a person who takes an hour just to put her school outfit together, parties are double the time (of course, at last minute). Hopefully these outfits will help you and me put ourselves together just a little bit faster!

Here's an outfit on the fancier side:

I adore Nanette Lepore and although this shirt at $265 is pricy, the silver flower makes it oh so worth it.

(nanettelepore.com)

Black skinny jeans from Paige (my absolute favorite brand) makes the outfit amazingly stylish.

And who couldn’t resist black suede pumps and an adorable red patent-leather clutch? (Not me, of course!)

How cute would this little red dress look at a New Years party?

Why not show off your legs with gold-sparkly pumps?

(go to stevemadden.com)

And of course, you're going to need a coat. To tone the look down try a neutral tweed trench:

All of the above outfits have been soo fancy! Here’s a fabulous outfit you can wear to the movies, at a friends house, or even to a long day of shopping!

An amazing short dress with leggings in one of my favorite new winter colors: grey!

And pair it with an adorable pair of black suede boots, a white cashmere scarf and silver-metallic retro bag? Instantly super chic!

Have fun at all of your fabulous winter parties!
